Mesh foil is the easiest way to make transparent EMI / RFI shielded windows.
You can make EMI / RFI shielded windows yourself, from standard displays, glass, acrylic, polycarbonate and plexus glass

What is mesh foil?

Mesh foil is a very fine electrically conductive wire mesh laminated between two layers of scratch resistant transparent foil. The wires are so fine that you can hardly see them. The foil is very strong but it still bends very easily.

Mesh foil is easy to apply onto glass, acrylic and polycarbonate, by hand or with a laminator. It can be deliverd with or without self adhesive.

The foil can be delivered with flying mesh on the sides or around the foil. It means that a piece of the very fine wire mesh will not be laminated with transparent foil. The uncovered piece of wire mesh can be used to make an electrical connection with your enclosure. Alternatively a conductive or non-conductive adhesive can be provided along the edges or there can be a silver bush bar around the circumference.

Metalized copper (Copper with a flash of nickel)
Dark gray and not shiny.

Mesh foil applications

  • To create shielding displays;
  • shielding windows;
  • shielding touch screens;
  • shielding monitor;
  • LCD screens;
  • and for tempest shielding.
  
Wire mesh angle
  • The wire mesh can be placed under a custom angle to prevent moiré effect on your display. (Standard is 0 degrees).
  • Custom wire mesh angle only available with sheetstyle 1 and 5

  • Mesh foil can be supplied with or without transparent self adhesive.
    This is used to stick the Mesh foil on any normal window or display.

Standard Mesh Foil

  • Sheet style 1
  • Mesh foil laminated between two plastic layers.
    Can be deliverd with a transparent self adhesive layer
    or without a transparent self adhesive layer.

  • Sheet style 4
  • Mesh foil laminated between two plastic layers.
    On the top and the bottom of the mesh foil there is a silver strip (bushbar) to make a perfect electrical connection with your enclosure.

  • Sheet style 2
  • Mesh foil laminated between two plastic layers.
    On the top and the bottom of the mesh foil there is a
    blank piece of wire mesh to make a connection with your enclosure.

  • Sheet style 5
  • Mesh foil laminated between two plastic layers.
    On all sides of the mesh foil there is a silver strip (bushbar) to make a perfect electrical connection with your enclosure.

  • Sheet style 3
  • Mesh foil laminated between two plastic layers.
    Around the mesh foil there is a
    blank piece of wire mesh to make a
    connection with your enclosure.

    On the left and the right side of the mesh foil there is a silver strip (bushbar) to make a perfect electrical connection with your enclosure.
